SOPRANO DEBORAH REYES & FRIENDS

Soprano Deborah Reyes is the featured performer this Friday, September 9, 2011, starting at 6:00 p.m. She will be joined by Sharayah Nicole Dominguez (violin), Gayle Norombaba (soprano), Sheila Manga (soprano, Jose Leo Logdat (baritone), Gabe Tan (piano) and Ana Ata Santiago (piano).  Hosting this Friday’s program, under the music direction of Dr. Santiago Yangco, is Ms. Thea Perez-Prosia. The public is cordially invited.

Paco Park Presents is a regular public service project of the Department of Tourism, under Secretary Ramon Jimenez, the National Parks Development Committee, under Executive Director Juliet H. Villegas, and the National Broadcasting Network. NPDC Chief of the Cultural & Public Affairs Division Federico A. Edos is the Executive In Charge of the project. Gie V. Arnold writes the script.

Ms. Reyes opens the program with Handel’s LET THE BRIGHT SERAPHIM. Young violinist Sharayah Nicole Dominguez follows with Franz Schubert’s SONATINA FOR VIOLIN & PIANO (Schubert). Then two sopranos, Gayle Norombaba and Sheila Manga sing SULL’ARIA (Mozart); Baritone Jose Leo Logdat follows with two popular creations of National Artist Lucio D. San Pedro - ARAW-ARAW SA MAYNILA and SA UGOY NG DUYAN. Young pianist Gabe Tan plays Clementi’s SONATINA NO. 2 IN G. Soprano Gayle Norombaba returns on stage with two of Puccini’s obra, namely, QUELLE TRINE MORBIDE, O MIO BABBINO and Gounod’s  JE VEUX VIVRE. Pianist Ana Ata Santiago plays Frederic Chopin’s PRELUDE IN E MINOR, OP. 28 NO. 4, PRELUDE IN C MINOR OP. 28 NO. 20, PRELUDE IN G, OP. 28 NO. 3 and NOCTURNE C# MINOR. Gayle Norombaba duets with Deborah Reyes in bringing life to Delibes’s FLOWER DUET from Lakme. Soprano Deborah Reyes ends the program with Mozart’s  DOVE SONO IBEI MOMENTI.
