Ms. Minette Padilla hosts the show. Admission is free. Concert at the Park is a regular weekly cultural project, provided free to all visitors of Rizal Park, by the National Parks Development Committee, under Acting Executive Director Salome T. Habal, and the National Broadcasting Network. Mr. Freddie A. Edos is the Executive In Charge of the project. Gie Villasor-Arnold writes the script. The month of March is Fire Prevention Month by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A, which aims to create public awareness on the importance of fire safety and prevention. And while firefighters have the primary responsibility of battling destructive fires, they also take the lead role in the promotion of fire safety awareness campaign. This is what the Firefly Band does via the popular medium of music. With a name that stands for “FIREmen Forever Love You”, the band had its debut in 2002 and “went on to deliver their unique fire safety message and musical concept” since then. With their first MTV “Sunog”, directed by acclaimed director and tv reporter Cesar Apolinario, the Firefly Band’s mission has reached successfully its intended target – the Filipino people.
