BALLET AT THE PARK PRESENTS

ABAP THIS SATURDAY, MAY 7

 

This Saturday, selected members of the Association of Ballet Academies Philippines (ABAP), under current President Sol Fernandez, take center  stage this Saturday, May 7, 2011,  in a program of popular ballet excerpts. The participating members are Ballet & Arts Centre, Ana Emata School of Classical Ballet, House of Dance, Ballet Dance Academy, SF School of Dance, Center for Movement & Music, The Marie Perez-Ramos School of Classical Ballet at the Little School at Pasadena, Dance Factory, House of Dance, the Vella Damian School of Ballet at the Main Studio and at the New Manila Ballet Center and the St. Paul College Pasig. Admission is free.

Ballet at the Park is a project of the Department of Tourism, under Secretary Alberto A. Lim and the National Parks Development Committee, under Executive Director Juliet H. Villegas, and for this week, in partnership with the Association of Ballet Academies Philippines (ABAP).

For the concert on Saturday, ABAP has prepared the following programme: EXCERPTS FROM COPPELA – Ballet & Arts Centre; SUGAR PLUM, BLUEBIRD, PRAYER, JEWEL, OCEANS & PEARLS, LITTLE BALLERINA, PAS DE TROIS and PEASANT – Ana Emata School of Classical Ballet; CORRIDOS DE TOROS – House of Dance; WALTZ OF THE FLOWERS – Ballet Dance Academy; SOLO VARIATIONS – SF School of Dance; SEASONS OF LOVE – Center for Movement & Music; ANAK/LIMANG DIPA – Lilibeth Trinidad Dance & Exercise Center; ‘AINT NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH – The Marie Perez-Ramos School of Classical Ballet at the Little School at Pasadena; DARK ROAD – Dance Factory; ENDLESS DREAMING –House of Dance; and LILAC FAIRY, TARANTELA, SOLO, AUTUMN FAIRIES, PINK FAIRIES, UNE DANSE BREVE, REFLECTION – Vella C. Damian School of Ballet at the Main Studio and at the New Manila Ballet Center and St. Paul College Pasig Ballet.

Admission to Ballet at the Park is free of charge. The public is cordially invited.
